I predicted big things for these months ago on V2. I'm a big fan. Great harmonies and very reminiscent of later Beach Boys stuff.

any new arists I hear of, I look for on youtube.
They're not bad IMO, but seems tricky picking up their EP on the cheap.

Got the album. It's pretty good.

He Doesn't Know Why, Heard Them Stirring and Your Protector are my favourite tracks, but I've only listened to it a couple of times.

Got my mate to download the album today but just been listening to couple of tracks on youtube and I quite like. Mykonos is a cool track.

The Sun Giant EP is £4 on Amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sun-Giant-Fleet-Foxes/dp/B0015N95WK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1216893200&sr=8-1

It's good stuff, particularly Drops In The River and Mykonos (which has already been said).

They're playing in Dublin as well. Missed their last show here in Whelan's (a tiny pub) as I was away. Hope to make it to this one.

I likes 'em but I'm not convinced about the Beach Boys comparison.

Personally I never liked the BB's much at all.

Have you ever listened to Sunflower, Friends or Holland? Or even the Dennis Wilson album? Quality.

It seems that every band who can harmonise or like to sing about oceans are being compared to The Beach Boys.

The Thrills, Fleet Foxes, High Llammas, etc

Just bought the Dennis Wilson (re-released) one as a birthday present for a friend.

I really should try to listen to the Beach Boys I guess.

It's all bolocks anyway. They tried this once before, years before there was anything called P2P. It was something called Newsgroups then, and they found out people were using it to share files so they tried to limit peoples downloads. People just went elswhere and the ISP's lost customers and money. They will still remember that and won't want to go there again.
